Between nature, play, and wonder: the Brembana Valley welcomes little ones with experiences to live and remember

Donkey and alpaca trekking, creative workshops, and adrenaline-pumping fun at the Dossena Speleological Park: the Brembana Valley in spring is an experience designed for kids that combines nature, discovery, and adventure in a single itinerary.

Families aren't all the same. There are those with little ones who want to touch everything, smell everything, run around. There are those with teens who get bored in thirty seconds if there's no adrenaline. And there are blended families, who need to find a compromise. Luckily, Val Brembana has something for all three.

Here are five verified experiences, each with its own characteristics. You can choose one or combine two in one day.

Walks with donkeys and alpacas: experiences to live as a family

At the educational farm “Ragliando S'Impara” in Sedrina, nature is discovered step by step through authentic experiences with animals. Set amidst greenery and designed to bring both young and old closer to the rural world, the farm offers engaging activities that combine fun, discovery, and quality time spent outdoors.

For children aged 5 and up, gentle donkey walks are organized. This is a sweet and relaxing experience that allows youngsters to connect with these affectionate animals, learn about them, and walk alongside them along simple paths immersed in nature. For children aged 10 and up, the experience continues with alpaca trekking: an original and increasingly popular activity that allows you to explore the area accompanied by curious and friendly alpacas, ideal companions for a different kind of adventure.

A perfect activity for families and young explorers who want to slow down, breathe in nature, and experience authentic moments amidst green landscapes, animals, and smiles.

For curious families: the Val Taleggio Ecomuseum

The Taleggio Valley is famous for its cheeses – Taleggio and Strachítunt DOP – but the Val Taleggio Ecomuseum is more than just a dairy visit. It's a museum spread throughout the territory, with ecomuseum stations located in the valley's villages. Through theatrical video installations, it recounts the entire process that leads to the creation of these cheeses: from milking to aging on wooden shelves, culminating in the final tasting.

One of the stations is called “Stagionàti”: participants follow on video the imaginary journey of a ripening rack transported by the Enna stream to the pastures of Alben at 1700 meters, and at the end, they taste a slice of Taleggio and one of Strachítunt. It is not a visit to the dairy: it is a story told with the tools of sensory experience. Suitable for all ages, also accessible to families with young children.
