The short section in the municipality of Lenna would take advantage of the valley floor bike/pedestrian path, since there are no other viable alternatives. There would exist a middlecountry path that from the Cortinovis Carpentry Shop reaches the Stralenna Fountain already at the entrance to the Brembo Valley of Mezzoldo, but in that case the passage through the historic center of Piazza Brembana, significant in the historical story of the Priula Road, would remain excluded. Therefore, both the tourist and hiking routes follow the bicycle and pedestrian path to the village of Lenna, including the section on the left Brembo bank. Then, via the steps of Via San Martino, they enter Piazza Brembana.
Historical Track
«The road proceeded flat and comfortable along the plains of Scalvino until it reached the village of Lenna across a bridge that was widened by the Austrians in the 19th century. The road then ascended with a steep ramp to the church of San Martino in Piazza Brembana, after passing under an arcade that is now demolished; this ramp has also been preserved and today has been transformed into a pedestrian stairway that connects Piazza Brembana to Lenna.».
