On foot Experienced hiker

Upon reaching the Cascinetto Hut, a symbolic place where a plaque commemorates the tragic events of 1944, take the short grassy climb to its right. In a few minutes, you will intersect with path 502, which comes from the slopes of Monte Alben. The trail then continues almost level until you reach Sapplì Pass (approximately 1500 m), a panoramic junction from which a rapid descent begins on rocky terrain, quickly losing altitude.

The path softens again within a splendid beech forest, leading to a small chapel: from here, looking up to the right, you can clearly distinguish the characteristic Cascina Bianca, nestled on the slope like a fixed point in the landscape.

Continue maintaining altitude, ignoring the fork that descends towards Serina and instead following the signs for Zambla. Emerging from the woods, a short descent leads to one of the most spectacular views of the entire route: the Piana della Mussa, a wide grassy plateau where a charming “posa,” a small alpine pool, reflects the imposing backdrop of Monte Menna and Monte Arera.

An open, bright, and spacious environment, capable of surprising even the most experienced hikers.
