After a short break to catch your breath, the path continues to climb but with a gentler slope, entering a striking section characterized by dense vegetation, almost shady and silent, which creates an intimate and secluded atmosphere. Shortly after, you reach a cabin on the right, a useful landmark along the route.
After passing the mountain hut, ignore the turn-off for the panoramic CAI 503 trail on the right—which leads back towards Cornalba—and continue straight until you enter a wide, grassy valley near the Pèta locality. Ascending to the top of the basin, the path turns left and continues in an almost flat manner, offering a pleasant and relaxing stretch.
From here, you can calmly contemplate the slopes of Mount Alben, which reveal themselves in all their grandeur: in front of you stretch the meadows of the lömaghera, while to the left you can recognize the area of the “casinet” Cascinetto, a small rural testament nestled in a landscape of extraordinary natural beauty. A stretch of great charm, where the mountain speaks through silences, delicate shapes, and high-altitude panoramas.
