From Rifugio Grassi (1,987 m), the trail ascends along the southern slopes of Cima di Camisolo, offering wide views of the valleys below from the very beginning. You then reach the scenic ridge of Pian delle Parole, a striking and airy section that leads to Bocchetta Alta (2,235 m), a spectacular and very rewarding crossing point from a landscape perspective.
From here, continue along a traversing path known as the Sentiero dei Solivi, which crosses the steep southern flank of the Pizzo dei Tre Signori, one of the symbolic mountains of the Orobie. The trail then descends into the wild Valle d’Inferno, where at approximately 2,030 meters it intersects with trail 106. After crossing the valley floor, the ascent resumes on the opposite slope, climbing up a gully to its summit and continuing once again along the ridge.
The path then leads to the Cima di Giarolo (2,314 m), from which you can enjoy a vast and rugged panorama, before descending to the Bocca di Trona (2,224 m), an ancient pass connecting the valleys. After passing the nearby Bocchetta di Piazzotti, a short and pleasant traverse finally leads to the Rifugio Benigni (2,222 m), spectacularly situated above small alpine lakes. This stage represents one of the most intense and memorable moments of the entire itinerary, ideal for those seeking an authentic high mountain experience amidst grand panoramas and profound silence.
