Sanpellegrino SpA

San Pellegrino water, a single spring in the Italian Alps

The quality of a mineral water comes from the land where it flows: from its rocks, soil and the slow underground journey that enriches it with minerals. Just as is the case with wine, each water has its own particular terroir, the set of natural characteristics that defines its taste and composition.

L’San Pellegrino Water was born at San Pellegrino Spa, in Val Brembana, at the foot of the Italian Alps. Flowing from snow and rain seeping into the high Dolomite peaks, between 1,200 and 1,300 meters above sea level, the water takes at least 30 years to pass through layers of porous rock and reach the spring, 350 meters above sea level. During this long underground journey it is naturally enriched with mineral salts, taking on its unique and recognizable profile.

The addition of carbon dioxide further enhances its characteristics, prolonging the olfactory and taste sensations and closing with a slightly bitter note. It is this detail that gives Acqua S.Pellegrino that unmistakable personality that has made it appreciated all over the world. The link with history is deep. In 1899 the Società Anonima delle Terme di San Pellegrino started its first bottling operations, turning a local spring known since the Middle Ages into an international symbol. Since then, the water has maintained the same mineral characteristics that make it unique, related to the geology of the valley and the depths in which it matures. The modern plant is located next to the historic sites of Sanpellegrinian thermalism and still represents the production heart of a brand that carries the name of Val Brembana in more than a hundred countries around the world.

San Pellegrino's delicate bubbles on the best tables around the world

Acqua S.Pellegrino is considered a true jewel among sparkling mineral waters, thanks to its delicate bubbles, subtle taste nuances and perfect mineral balance. These qualities make it the ideal water to accompany refined dishes and cuisines of excellence. It is no coincidence that it is recognized by chefs and sommeliers as the water of fine dining, served in the world's best restaurants and appreciated for its ability to enhance any dining experience.

The bottling site of San Pellegrino mineral water is in San Pellegrino Terme/Ruspino, icon of Made in Italy known all over the world. Here, among the mountains of Val Brembana, water is collected, controlled and bottled with advanced technologies, preserving its purity and unmistakable taste. This plant is the starting point of an Italian excellence exported everywhere, already the official water of Expo Milano 2015 and the Italian Pavilion.
