From the Church of Dossena, take the historic mule track that, with a pleasant and well-marked route, leads past the cemetery to the village of Villa. The trail climbs gently between meadows and ancient stone walls, offering striking views of the village and the valley. Reaching Villa, the path continues alongside the small sports field: the entrance is at the south end, on the left, where the mule track narrows and penetrates between low walls and vegetation, until it reaches a pretty little frescoed chapel, a historical and spiritual reference point for the inhabitants of the area.
From here you return to the provincial road, which you follow for about a kilometer in the direction of Passo Crocetta (1051 m). This stretch, although paved, still affords wide views of the wooded slopes and ridges that separate the Serina Valley from the Brembana Valley. When we reach the pass, a well-marked crossroads indicates on the right the road to the locality Corone, while our route resumes on the left, where another beautiful paved mule track begins.
The trail descends at a moderate slope to the southeast, crossing shady areas and more open stretches, alternating between beech groves and wide meadows. Along the descent, one can see ancient channelization works and small dry stone walls, evidence of the rural presence of yesteryear. Farther down, the mule track leads to a small concrete bridge that allows you to cross the Serina stream, immersed in a cool environment that is particularly impressive in the spring and summer seasons.
After crossing the bridge, the trail widens slightly and reaches Corone Street, right near the characteristic Tricuspid Fountain, an ideal stop to cool off and admire one of the most distinctive elements of local rural architecture. From this point you can continue to the houses in the Corone locality or connect to other historic trails in the area.
