The route initially follows the path of the old cycle path, heading north between the villages of San Giovanni Bianco and Camer.
Leaving the cycle path at Cornello, cross the Brembo towards Portiera and begin the climb, encountering a beautiful panoramic viewpoint until reaching the ancient mining area.
Following the dirt road for a couple of kilometers, you reach the starting point of the descent, which runs along a section of the ancient Via Mercatorum, the merchants' road that connected Bergamo to the Valtellina in medieval times.
You cross the small hamlets of Bosco, passing by the white Church of S. Rocco and Grumo, then continue downhill until returning to the cycle path that closes the loop, leading back to San Giovanni Bianco.
