A scenic and sunny trail, often accessible even in winter, that winds through natural environments of great charm: rocky and wild stretches, pine and larch woods, high-altitude meadows, and spectacular outcrops of Lombard verrucano. Along the band between 1800 and 1900 meters, you will encounter numerous roccoli, ancient structures made of wood and stone used for hunting, which are now a valuable testament to 19th-century Alpine culture.
The itinerary starts from Baresi (Bonetti hamlet) and climbs to the ENEL basin up to Roccolo del Giüstì. Following the ridge, you reach Roccolo di Tonète and, with a short detour, the picturesque Porta delle Cornacchie, characterized by megalithic boulders. You then descend to the 17th-century Roccolo Piacezzi, now restored, and continue towards the Madonnina del Vendulo and the panoramic Fraggio hamlet.
Before the Cornelli Hut, a path climbs to Füslì (1508 m), with a splendid view of the valley below. The trail continues towards the saddle at 1736 m and reaches Roccolo del Corno (1814 m), in a dominant position between Valsecca and Valle di Fondra. Proceeding eastward, you visit Roccolo della Fontana (with water), Roccolo del Meschino, the detour to Cima Mencucca, and further on, Roccolo del Veroppio.
The crossing concludes in the bright meadow of the Baita di Campo (1879 m), a natural balcony overlooking the Mezzeno basin and the Arera and Menna massifs, before descending to the huts and parking lot of Mezzeno (1593 m).
