Olda (800 m a.s.l.) – San Bartolomeo (870 m a.s.l.) – Ponte di Salzana (950 m a.s.l.) – Partisans' Cave (1,000 m a.s.l.) – Olda
The trail starts from Olda, ascending on the paved road towards the church of San Bartolomeo and then entering the woods, following signs for the Sanctuary of Madonna di Salzana. Shortly before the bridge over the Salzana stream, you turn off onto a path that runs alongside the stream on the left and then enters an environment among tufaceous rocks, fissures, and caves. This is a striking area where foxes, roe deer, and chamois can be spotted. Next, there's a stream crossing over slippery rocks, not easy for children or inexperienced hikers; then you reach the entrance to the Partisans' Cave. Inside, a waterfall on polished rock recalls the refuge used by partisans during the war, fleeing from roundups. The trail is a loop; Olda concludes the itinerary, passing through woods, streams, and rocky gorges, creating an immersive experience in the nature and history of the valley.
