After crossing the New Bridge in the direction of St. Gallen, leave the bend in the main road and take the steep porphyry-paved ascent, a characteristic stretch that soon turns into a picturesque mule track. Continue uphill until you reach the path that passes by the aqueduct and crosses the road to Briolo.
From here, continue along the path surrounded by greenery, which leads to the San Gallo-Dossena municipal road: this quiet and scenic stretch leads directly to the church of San Gallo, a small architectural jewel set between the valley slopes. Past the church, follow the road that runs alongside it in the direction of the Foppa locality until you reach a small chapel, a reference point for many hikers.
Next to the chapel begins a pleasant path that crosses meadows and groves, skirts the picturesque hamlet of Calecardi and, with a regular and scenic route, leads in a little more than half an hour to the charming nucleus of Trinità di Dossena, a place rich in history and tradition, perfect for a break and to admire the surrounding landscape.
