Starting from the road that leads from the Church area to the Alpini hut-retreat in the Foppette locality, climb slightly until you reach the first path on the left: this is where one of the most fascinating, challenging and spectacular routes in the entire area begins, the Monte Zucco Panoramic Trail. This path, direct and decisive, climbs almost in a straight line to the summit cross located at 1232 meters.
From the very first ramps, the slope proves to be very steep, an ascent that gives no respite but invites one to measure one's own pace and savor every meter gained in altitude. Looking at the mountain from below, it is possible to guess the path's layout: two landmarks betray it, the repeater panel and, a little higher up, the electricity pylon that dominates the ridge.
Much of the trail is made with steps carved into the ground, which aid in progression on the steeper sections. In some places, short rock steps require the use of hands to overcome small climbing passages, never difficult but still exposed enough to get the adrenaline going. This is a route that requires attention, sure footing and good physical condition, especially in the middle section where the mountain becomes more severe.
In any case, the effort is amply repaid. Once the summit is reached, the panorama opens up at a stroke: San Pellegrino Terme appears from above as a jewel set in the valley, while all around unfold the Orobian Pre-Alps, the Rhaetian Alps and a continuous succession of ridges and valleys.
