At the end of Via Fiume Serio, you'll take a well-trodden path that winds through rocks, conifers, and broadleaf trees. In this section of Monte Purito, it's common to encounter small rodents and roe deer, which are abundant in the woods. The trail leads to a grassy plateau called Pià de la Loera (hunting cabin on the left), from which you follow the panoramic path overlooking the valley towards Nembro.
Continuing on an undulating stretch of rock, and passing a stable on the left, you reach a fork in the road: from here you can return to Selvino descending towards Via Betulle, or continue along switchbacks and grassy ridges until you reach the summit of the Mount Purito (1150 m), from which a wide view opens up onto the valley floor and the first spurs of the Orobic Alps, including the’Arera and the’Album.
The descent is simple: continue along the path to the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, then follow the ski slope that leads directly back to the center of Selvino.
