Liberty and beyond

L’itinerario “Liberty and beyond” è un percorso culturale pensato per accompagnare cittadini e visitatori alla scoperta del ricco patrimonio storico-artistico di San Pellegrino Terme. Un viaggio alla scoperta della Belle Époque italiana, quando la cittadina divenne luogo di villeggiatura internazionale, e in cui architettura, natura e benessere si intrecciarono dando vita a uno dei complessi liberty più suggestivi del Paese.

The itinerary enhances a wide selection of points of interest-from the Casino to the Grand Hotel, from the funicular to the railway stations, passing through historic villas, porticoes, bridges and ancient paths-telling how San Pellegrino Terme has managed, over time, to combine elegance and modernity. Here, the charm of Art Nouveau coexists with a contemporary model of wellness and relaxation, in which historic architecture dialogues with the nature of the Brembo and the services offered by the city, bringing out a unique identity in the Italian tourism scene.

The trail is usable year-round, suitable for everyone and can be walked independently, with families, couples or small groups. Various information materials are available to facilitate the experience:

• downloadable GPX track, to follow the route with a smartphone or GPS;
• mappa cartacea gratuita, ritirabile cartacea presso l’Infopoint o esercizi aderenti;
• Illustrative bulletin boards along the way;
• descriptive signs at each Point of Interest, for more in-depth history and curiosities.

Liberty and beyond invites visitors to experience San Pellegrino Terme with a different outlook: not only as a spa resort, but as a place where wellness, landscape, culture and historical memory meet, offering visitors a complete and conscious experience.

The initiative is realized with the contribution of the Province of Bergamo and was created with the aim of promoting and enhancing the cultural heritage of the area, making it accessible and usable in every season.
