This itinerary leads to the discovery of the mid Brembana Valley, forming a fascinating loop around Mount Gioco, the mountain that elegantly overlooks San Pellegrino Terme. Starting from the parking lot on Via Piazzo, you'll pedal along the cycle path, passing the magnificent Grand Hotel and immediately immersing yourself in the refined Art Nouveau atmosphere of the spa town. Upon reaching the hamlet of Cà de Rizzi, you will leave the cycle path and turn towards Antea, entering a more rural and authentic environment.
Pedaling towards Santa Croce and Salvarizza, the landscape opens up to increasingly wide and evocative panoramas: meadows, woods, and glimpses of the valley accompany the ascent and herald the entrance into the heart of Monte Gioco. Above Salvarizza, a natural surface road enters the woods, leading gently to the junction just before the Tribulina, the starting point of the true loop around the mountain.
From here, you cycle through ancient rural settlements and tranquil woods, crossing the locality of Cà Filippo until you reach the Forcella di Spettino. This is one of the most spectacular points of the route: a natural balcony that allows you to observe the summit cross of Monte Gioco, nestled between the green slopes and the clear sky.
The descent towards Corone, along the slope facing the Asnera Valley, offers a series of varied passages, between more technical sections and moments of pure cycling pleasure. Upon reaching Lepreno, a final effort takes you back up to Tribulina, thus completing the magnificent loop of Monte Gioco.
The final part of the route leads back to Salvarizza and Santa Croce, where the evocative mule track begins its descent towards San Pellegrino Terme. This section, rich with history, leads directly back to the cycle path behind the Grand Hotel, completing a loop full of nature, rural charm, and memorable views.
A perfect itinerary for those who wish to explore the Brembana Valley from a different perspective, immersed in the silence of the woods and the beauty of its most authentic hamlets.
