From the charming hamlet of Botta, in particular, a path rich in geological and landscape insights begins, capable of immersing the visitor in an authentic rural environment made up of streams, woods, and ancient artifacts.
The absolute protagonist of the area is water, which in Via Giongo carves out the landscape as it flows through the valley of the same name: the stream, a tributary of the Brembo, creates evocative scenery where the sound of water merges with the quiet of the forest. The path begins on a road, then transforms into a comfortable shaded mule track, enriched by Jurassic limestone outcrops that tell the geological history of the territory.
The first deviation to the right leads to the Giongo mill, which has been operational since the 1950s and is a valuable testament to the work and ingenuity of mountain communities. Continuing along the stream, you reach Cà Giongo, an ancient rural settlement immersed in nature, from where the path continues through a dense forest of linden, oak, and hornbeam trees. The excursion culminates at Prati Parini, a charming green plateau accessible only on foot, ideal for those seeking silence and open views. It is also possible to reach it from the hamlet of Clèr, following a path through deciduous woods.
