From Monte Poieto, the trail descends gently to the north, soon reaching the picturesque Forca di Aviatico, a natural passageway between the ridges of the plateau. The path then continues almost level, maintaining a northerly direction, until it reaches the small rural hamlet of Cà Donadoni. Here, at the fork, turn left onto a trail that begins to climb steadily, crosses a sunlit wood, and leads to Forcellino. From there, ascend along the wide grassy ridge until you emerge onto a panoramic col, next to the characteristic Al di Mafé hut.
The path continues along a ridge rich with views, initially grassy and then more rocky, which leads to the false summit of the mountain. After passing this rise, the trail descends to a second saddle before climbing the last section of the ridge, a path that is at times rocky but always well-marked, until reaching the summit of Monte Suchello, from which a magnificent 360-degree panorama opens up over the Orobie Alps, the Val Serina, and the surrounding valleys.
The descent to the north is quite steep but presents no particular technical difficulties: in a short time you reach the splendid Roccolo di Barbata, one of the most fascinating in the area, where you meet trail no. 525. From here, continue along the right-hand trail, which leads to the pleasant and silent locality of Sedernél, nestled in the heart of the mountain and the junction for trail no. 527.
For those who want an alternative to the described route, there are two splendid itineraries starting from Costa Serina. The first begins at the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve, passes by the Aral stable, and, through a dense and evocative forest, climbs directly to the summit of Mount Suchello. The second starts from Valle del Ferro and goes up Val Chignoli, reaching the Roccolo di Barbata with a varied route rich in natural charm.
A set of itineraries offering open landscapes, untouched nature, and ancient rural testimonies, ideal for those who love to discover the mountains with a curious pace and adventurous spirit.
