From the locality of Orbrembo di Camerata Cornello, the road climbs among hamlets and ancient mining vestiges toward Dossena, accompanied by splendid views of the middle Brembana Valley. The road then continues toward Serina, Oltre il Colle and Zambla Alta, until it reaches Plassa, where the environment gradually opens up, giving an increasingly wide view of the surrounding peaks. From here begins the ascent to Rifugio SABA and Rifugio Capanna 2000, privileged vantage points over the area's most iconic mountains.
The famous Sentiero dei Fiori (Trail of Flowers) starts from the hut, a trail of great naturalistic charm, particularly striking between June and July when the blooms dot the slopes with vibrant colors. The trail leads to the scenic Branchino Pass, overlooking the alpine lake of the same name, and then descends on the opposite slope to the Baite di Mezzeno huts, among technical trails, high-altitude meadows and smoother sections.
In the final part, the descent towards Capovalle introduces a peaceful high altitude section that skirts the village of Roncobello and then descends towards its characteristic hamlets-Baresi and Bordogna-and continues towards Lenna. Reaching the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Coltura, it finally rejoins the Val Brembana bicycle path, which gently leads back to the starting point and closes an itinerary rich in views, nature and mountain suggestions.
