The final goal of this trail will repay you in terms of nature when you reach the plateau that serves as a pedestal for three majestic and harmonious centuries-old beech trees, listed among Italy's monumental trees. The foliage of each merges into a perfect intertwining of branches that in winter creates a pattern like capillaries reaching for the sky, while on warm summer days its green dome offers us extensive, cool shade under which we can relax.
Departure from the municipality of Val Brembilla, reachable via the SS 340 of Val Brembana with the turn-off at the level of the Ponti di Sedrina viaduct, then taking provincial road no. 24, which leads into Val Taleggio.
The itinerary begins in the hamlet of Cadelfoglia, which is located one kilometer beyond the center of Brembilla, continuing on the provincial road. During the hike, you will pass through the municipality of Blello, which is reached by the road coming from Berbenno and the Valle Imagna.
It starts from 420 m. of Cadelfoglia until it reaches 1280 m. of Tre Faggi. At Cadelfoglia you take the road that reaches Croce Garateno and near the school you take the trail to Blello. At Blello follow the signs leading to the Church of the Annunziata. From Curnino alto, on the other hand, you use the C.A.I. trail markings 571 to Tre Faggi. For those more prepared at Tre Faggi you can continue to the Canti following C.A.I. trail 571, otherwise descend to Valle Imagna in Fuipiano with a trail or to Locatello using C.A.I. trail 580. This is a fairly long hike, with little water on the trail, which can be shortened by starting directly from Blello and still requires a fair amount of preparation. Beech, maypole, sorbole and linden trees abound along the route; lots of juniper, holly and heather bushes as well as flowers such as daffodils. But in August this route can be called the realm of wild raspberries, which abound everywhere.
