This very pleasant bicycle and pedestrian route crosses the entire Brembana Valley, starting from the municipality of Zogno and reaching Piazza Brembana with a route full of charm, history and scenic suggestions. The route is also connected to the bicycle path through Almè via Sombreno, from which it is possible to continue along the Morla Greenway to comfortably reach Bergamo, thus expanding the experience on two wheels.

The Valle Brembana cycle path follows for long stretches the route of the old railway, decommissioned in 1966 after sixty years of service. Today the old railroad tunnels, expertly recovered, represent one of the most striking elements of the route: as you cross them, they light up as cyclists pass by, creating a unique atmosphere full of surprise.

At times, the route winds through an extraordinary naturalistic setting, among wooded slopes, glimpses of the Brembo River and views of the Orobic peaks that provide moments of absolute peace. Along the cyclovia one also encounters historic villages of unspoiled charm, often set in secluded locations such as Oneta or Cornello dei Tasso, true medieval gems where time seems to stand still.

The larger centers, such as San Pellegrino Terme, on the other hand, offer a plunge into the elegance of the past thanks to their splendid Art Nouveau buildings, including the famous Grand Hotel and the Municipal Casino, authentic architectural masterpieces of the Belle Époque.

With its 28.3 km in length, fully paved bottom, a low elevation gain of about 275 meters, and easy difficulty, this cycle route is ideal for families, cyclists of all levels, and walking enthusiasts. An immersive experience that combines nature, culture and history in a route that remains in the heart.

Note: The attached GPX track refers only to the section from Zogno to Piazza Brembana.
