This little-used trail is an interesting alternative to the classic access routes to the Twin Lakes. For the past few years it has been called ‘The Partisan's Path’. Climbing up the left orographic side of the Brembo River, on the slopes of P.zo dell'Orto, the trail climbs through the woods to the Pian Casere dam and, at the Enel watchman's house, joins trail 211 in the direction of ref. Laghi Gemelli. The trail starts from Via Cagnoli in Branzi (825 m), near the sports field where there is a public parking lot; access to the trail can alternatively be from the Borlèggia waterfall (840 m) near the parking lot in Via Monaci. The paths join about 15 minutes‘ walk from the start, at an altitude of 1040 m, and then continue until they meet the ’flat road' at an altitude of 1110 m; effects of an avalanche and tree diseases have led to the complete cutting of the vegetation in the next section, from which one can enjoy a wide view while waiting for the plantings carried out to return the forest to its original appearance. At an altitude of 1400 m you reach the Grassi, where there are some communal huts and where shepherds and herdsmen stop during the transhumance period to the mountain pastures; continuing, you reach the Pian Casere dam (1815 m): here the forest ends and the typical Orobic landscape begins. A few hundred meters later, near the Enel watchman's house, trail 211 crosses, and from here it continues to the Laghi Gemelli refuge (1968 m)
