A fascinating loop trail leads to the woods, villages and views of the middle Brembana Valley, starting from the Art Nouveau town of San Pellegrino Terme.
From the parking lot in Via Piazzo, take the bicycle path on the former railroad track, passing by the Grand Hotel and through short tunnels to San Giovanni Bianco. From here the road climbs toward Cornalita, where a charming path through the woods at the foot of Mount Sornadello begins. Among ups and downs, clearings and chestnut trees, you reach Fuipiano al Brembo, with splendid views of the valley.
The climb continues toward the hamlets of Paccacorna and Cà Brusade to Alino, ideal for a stop at the village fountain. It then continues along a more challenging section that leads to the characteristic nucleus of Vettarola, surrounded by the colors of nature. A scenic trail then leads to Sussia (1066 m), the highest point of the itinerary.
The descent winds along mule tracks and dirt tracks passing by the Santella di Madrera, until it comes out in the quiet Borlezza Valley, near an old mill. The return is through the hamlets of Aplecchio and Paradiso, following dirt tracks and old mule tracks back to San Pellegrino, next to the Casino and back to the starting point.
