Below the medieval hamlet of Cornello dei Tasso, along the route of the former provincial road, take the characteristic small iron bridge that crosses the Brembo River, immediately offering a striking view of the valley. Once you reach the small hamlet of Grumo, follow the track that runs to the left of the small church, entering a rural setting full of charm and tranquility.
The path soon leads to the splendid church of San Rocco, recognizable by its white façade and portico that has welcomed travelers and pilgrims for centuries. Past the church, we continue to the hamlets of Bosco Dentro and Bosco Fuori, two hamlets nestled in a landscape marked by woods, clearings and small terraces.
From Bosco Fuori begins the wildest and most wooded section of the itinerary: here the paths are numerous and often intersect each other, so it is essential to always keep to the main trail, which gently climbs the slope among beech and chestnut trees. The atmosphere is quiet and immersive, with glimpses from time to time of the valley and surrounding rocky buttresses.
Having passed the junction with the road leading to the Paglio Mines, evidence of the long mining history of the Upper Brembana Valley, continue southward following a gradually more open and scenic route. The last stretch finally accompanies to the Colle di Dossena area, wide highland meadows that dominate the valley from above and introduce the authentic atmosphere of the Dossena area. An itinerary rich in nature, history and landscapes that change with every step.
