The paragliding flight at St. Mark's Pass.

The orography of the area makes it ideal for paragliding.
The takeoff is located on the western slope near the pass. It can be reached in two minutes on foot, parking the car near the pass; or by taking the old Priula road, in about 20 minutes, starting from the Ca’ S. Marco Refuge.
The recommended time of year for flying is from spring to late autumn. During the winter period, the pass is closed to traffic.
The southerly exposure makes careful assessment necessary in crosswinds. One does not fly in winds from the northern quadrants, and during periods of intense heat associated with high levels of humidity; with these conditions, the altitude of the cumulus base is usually less than 2,000 m. at takeoff, and brief showers or thunderstorms are often generated in the afternoon.
The landing is wide and free of obstacles; located in the Valmora below, it is accessible by walking a short dirt road. Access by car is not permitted.
