Soldier's Museum

In the year 2002 the Alpine group of Zogno led by group leader Luigi Garofano, through an agreement with the Municipal Administration, renovated the building and left the old rented premises for a more spacious and modern one. Having very important military material in stock, it was decided to display it in a special room, calling it the “Museum of the Alpine.”.
As time went by, thanks to the work of many people, the board of directors and secretary Renato Gherardi, with various researches the museum expanded with new material, not only Alpine but from all military corps. Within a few months it was renamed the Soldier's Museum.
“It's certainly not for us to say," Garofano explains, "but given the compliments from knowledgeable people and having been recognized as a Museum in its own right, both by the municipality and the province, I think the initiative is very important and unique, an example for the whole province of Bergamo.
The material is varied, from weapons to uniforms, hats to badges, photographs and letters from the front. The crowning glory,” Garofano points out, "are the certificates with Distinguished Service Crosses of our veterans from all wars. 
Now the Museum also has a library with more than 300 books of military stories, photo collections, war memoir diaries, etc. They are made available for enthusiasts.
As of July 22, 2018, the Museum moved to its new location in the former Ambria train station on Piave Street.
