1909 church desired by parish priest Don Giuseppe Battaglia, given the deteriorating condition of the old parish church, located between the two hamlets of Fiumenero and Porta. Inaugurated in 1913 with raising of the bell tower in living stone only in 1934. Rich and solemn was the use of marble in the revival of the altars and chancel. The interior of the church is airy, monumental and gives a sense of elevation. Prominent among the paintings is the painting of Our Lady of the Rosary by Carlo Ceresa, a painter from San Giovanni Bianco. Paintings, statues, altars, and marbles were for the most part the work of local artists, students at the Carrara Academy, not highly valued in their time, but now reevaluated by critics.
Open year-round: free admission, no guided tours available.
