Mount Purito is one that rises at the gateway to the Brembana Valley, above the village of Selvino, like a large natural terrace overlooking the Bergamo Pre-Alps.
The path to Purito winds through bright woods, well-kept meadows and sudden glimpses of the surrounding valleys. As you climb, albeit gently, the panorama widens: the profile of Mount Alben, the ridges of the Upper Seriana Valley and the small villages that dot the area appear.
From its natural balcony, one can observe the succession of mountains framing the Brembana Valley, or be transported by the view towards the plain.
It is perfect for a sunset walk, for a break in nature during a day on the plateau, or as a first step for those who one day want to climb more challenging peaks. It encapsulates the beauty of simplicity and that feeling of peace that only familiar and authentic places can offer.
The mountain is also accessible in winter, but only to experienced hikers with appropriate equipment; during the winter season it is also advisable to contact the huts in advance to check if they are open.
