La Magrera Hut, protected and enhanced by the activities of the Val Taleggio ecomuseum, houses the ecomuseum station, with the theatrical installation “Tu casaro: accelerated theatrical course to learn the art of Val Taleggio cheesemakers,” which offers the opportunity to experience and learn about the typical dairy activity of this area.
Guided by images of Valley cheesemakers “floating” in a “coldera” filled with milk, visitors will learn what rennet is and what transmutations it operates in milk, how curds are broken with the “basla,” how whey is separated, and they will make their first cheese live, which they will take back with them to their homes.
