Weekend exploring the Cheese Valley
The edition returns “Discovering the Cheese Valley”, the three-day ecotourism event dedicated to promoting the dairy tradition of Valle Brembana. A unique territory, capable of producing four DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) cheeses and several Slow Food presidia in a not particularly large area: authentic gastronomic excellences that encapsulate stories of alpine life, culture, and the traditions of local communities.
This year's weekend will take place in the villages of Ornica, Valtorta, and Cusio, offering guests the option to stay overnight, by reservation, at the "albergo diffuso" (scattered hotel) managed by the Ornica nel Cuore Cooperative. The initiative offers encounters with interesting dairy realities, new trekking routes, and untold stories related to the territory.
Each day will be dedicated to a different cheese, with specially designed trekking routes in the production areas, for an immersive experience combining nature, taste, and tradition.
