Transhumance. An ancient rite to experience together

With the S. Antonio di Reggetto Cooperative, you can experience the authentic experience of the herd's ascent to the pastures of the Alta Val Taleggio, where the animals feed on precious alpine forage, a fundamental element for the production of quality milk destined for cheese making.
This is not a simple hike, but participation in an ancient mountain rite that has been renewed for centuries. The transhumance speaks of tradition, sacrifice, passion for animals, and a cultural heritage passed down from generation to generation. For one day, participants will have the opportunity to become part of this authentic world.
The Cooperative will provide packed lunches for all participants.
Meeting in Sottochiesa (BG) with subsequent transfer by car to the Bonetto location, the starting point of the experience. From here, we will walk to the Sella, where the herd will be gathered, and then accompany it along the path towards the last mountain hut (casera). Return is expected in the afternoon.
