Laboratory at the Tasso Museum: Great post! Adventures of couriers, letters, and stamps!
Tuesday, June 2, 2026, 11:00 AM workshop “I Travel the World with Stamps, and You?”
What's hidden behind a postage stamp? Much more than meets the eye. We can find characters to rediscover, revolutionary inventions, and distant landscapes. It's a journey through history and nature.
Together with experts from the Bergamasco Philatelic Circle, the children will transform into real “time explorers.” Armed with magnifying glasses and tweezers, they will learn to decipher the secrets hidden behind each perforation and to read the invisible messages that stamps carry from every corner of the planet. During the workshop, the children will discover the history of the postage stamp and how to read and interpret the hidden meanings within them. Guided by experts from the Bergamasco Philatelic Circle and equipped with tweezers and magnifying glasses, they will select, organize, and archive stamps to create their own small personal collection.
“I travel the world with stamps, and you?” is an opportunity to stimulate curiosity and observation, analyze and interpret images, and perhaps start your own collection.
