Pusdosso and the Villages of Fondra, Trekking and Mountain Tastes
Suggestive trekking among the districts of the municipality of Isola di Fondra, in Alta Val Brembana, among Cornelli, Pusdosso, Forcella and Foppa. Walking along ancient mule tracks you will step back in time, reliving the atmosphere of the old hamlets among stone and wooden houses, stables, meadows and chestnut and oak forests.
One finds oneself on the slopes of the Torcole Mountains, and the view of the mountains in the background, such as the Menna and Ortighera, is truly striking. These small villages, which once teemed with life, are now almost deserted, except for the few remaining residents, perhaps the last. Their strong sense of attachment to the mountains excited during the surveys, and it is this emotion that you would like to share with the participants.
The itinerary is easy: about 8 km with 450 m of positive elevation gain, tackled at a slow pace, with stops dedicated to telling the history of the places and an outdoor lunch based on products from the Brembian area.
For those arriving from outside the valley, the Meeting is set for 9 a.m. at the market square in San Pellegrino Terme, to optimize places in the cars and continue with the transfer. Expected return in the afternoon.
N.B. In case of unfavorable weather conditions, a plan B will be proposed, with a walk and lunch at local farmhouses.
