Visit to the Church of Sant'Antonio abate alla Torre (Valtorta) - This ancient oratory, dedicated to St. Anthony the Abbot, was founded in 1367 by Alberto known as Beto of the important Ragazzoni della Torre family, who held the iuspatronage over the church and the right to appoint the curate for years. The church is called alla Torre because it stands near a medieval watchtower and defense tower, the remains of which are still visible in a building not far away. Inside, aphresque frescoes dated 1529 are the work of the Baschenis family, notably St. Anthony Abbot by Christopher II Baschenis and Coronation of Mary, Madonna and Child Enthroned between Saints Anthony Abbot and Roch, Crucifixion between Saints Roch and Sebastian, Christ in Pieta, and Nativity by Simon II Baschenis.
Open from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., visits with animators will be held at 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
